Pure cotton flame retardant finishing agent WH is a kind of durable type of reactive flame retardant, It can be polymerized or condensed on the inside or surface of cellulose fibers, and form water-insoluble polymers. It is suitable for the durable and flame-retardant finishing of pure cotton woven fabric, knitted fabric, towel, bed mat, bedspread, canvas, home textile products, curtain, tablecloth, carpet, tent, wall cloth, sofa cover and other decorative fabrics, as well as the durable and flame-retardant finishing of hemp, viscose and other fiber fabrics.
Product traits and technical indicators
The main components of pure cotton flame retardant finishing agent WH are nitrogen-containing organophosphate compounds. It is a light yellow transparent solution, with the content of active ingredients over 80%, phosphorus content: ≥12%, PH value: 6+1, boiling point: 420ºC (at 760 mmHg). It is not dangerous goods, and is compatible with various finishing additives. Flame retardant WH is easy to use and can be treated on conventional printing and dyeing equipment.
WH has no flame continuation and smouldering phenomenon, which meets the requirements of GB 18401-2010 direct contact skin textiles. The flame retardant performance can pass the Chinese standard GB 8965 and GB 5455. American standard CA117 (furniture sofa), TB603 (mattress class), FMVSS302 (automotive upholster fabric), NFPA701, NFPA261-94, CS191-51, CPAI-84 (tent), CFR1610 (garment), CFR1633;European standards EN 531, EN 532, EN 533, EN 470, EN 469, EN-71 (toys);Australian AS 4824 and British standard BS 5852 (furniture sofa category), BS7176 (padded seat category), BS7177 (mattress category), EN-71 (toys category) and FAR 25.853, CAN/ ULC-S109.After 50 times of water washing, the flame retardant effect of WH environmental-friendly flame retardant fabric can still reach B2 level or above in gb5455-85. The strength of flame retardant product decreases little, and the hand feeling is good. The formaldehyde content is less than 75ppm, without APEO, heavy metal and aromatic amine. It does not contain REACH (SVHC) and the following non-environmental compounds (Tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP), Tris(1,3-dicloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCPP), Tris(2,3-dibromopropyl)phosphate (TDBPP).

Preparation of finishing fluid:
 (1) First add appropriate amount of water in the chemical barrel, and then add pure cotton flame retardant finishing agent WH, resin and PP in turn according to the formula sequence (add after diluting with water).
(2) When selecting softener, hydrophilic softener GS should be used to avoid the impact on flame retardant performance.
The technological process:  
Cotton fabric after bleaching, dyeing and drying → dipping and rolling (two dip and two roll, rolling liquid rate of 75-80%) → drying (100-105ºC) → baking (160ºC, 4-5min) → caustic washing (sodium carbonate 5g/L, 20-40ºC)→ soaps (deodorant soap fb-28c, 6-8g/ L,60±2ºC×3 min)→ three hot water washing (countercurrent)→ one cold water washing → drying.

 Note: 
  1. The fabric before flame retardant finishing has not been finished (and has not been fixed with fixing agent), and should have good water absorption (wool effect above 8cm), good instantaneous water absorption, clean removal, neutral or slightly acidic cloth surface (10 g rag cloth added to 100g pure water, boiling for 5 minutes, pH measured by pH is 6 -7).
  2.  The amount of flame retardant depends on the type of fabric, users need to carry out experiments to determine the specific amount. Usually thick fabric use less, thin fabric use should be appropriately increased.
  3. In order to increase the strength, the formula can also add an appropriate amount of fiber protectant.
  4. If the permeability of the fabric is poor, you can add an appropriate amount of non-ionic penetration agent in the prescription.
  5. Strictly control baking temperature and time and strengthen exhaust air (crosslink between flame retardant and cellulose needs to be carried out in aerobic environment). After baking, the fabric immediately enters the alkali washing neutralization liquid, otherwise affects the strength.
  6. Hexahydroxyresin 6MD is easy to self-crosslink at high temperature (white emulsion or even white floc added to water). Please avoid light and store low temperature environment. The quality difference period of hexahydroxyresin 6MD is 5 days.
  7. Cotton flame retardant finishing agent WH may have a slight effect on the color light and firmness of printing and dyeing products. Please carry out a small sample experiment in advance.
Packaging and storage:50kg,60kg plastic drum packing. Storage in cool warehouse, storage stable period is one year.
