The flame retardant WM is a kind of environment friendly finishing agent of pure polyester fabric. This product does not contain halogen, alkylphenol and alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether (AP&APEO). It meets the requirements of ecological protection and is easy to use. It can be used in conventional equipment. Its main technical indicators is in the international leading level. The flame retardant WM only needs low dosage to achieve excellent flame retardant effect, does not affect the feel and color of the fabric, does not reduce the intensity of the fabric and moisture absorption. Flame retardant does not produce pungent odor in process, can be used safely.
The appearance of the flame retardant WM is colorless to light yellow transparent mucus, specific gravity is 1.2-1.3g/cm3, phosphorus content greater than 19%, pH value is 4-6, soluble in water, and without APEO, heavy metals and aromatic amines. WM flame retardant polyester thick fabric technical indicators reach the national flame retardant standard B2 above, washing times up to 30 times (AATCC 135-2004 washing program).The technical service center of WM company can provide the specific flame retardant process meeting the flame retardant standards of various countries according to the fabric specifications and flame retardant requirements of customers.
The flame retardant properties of the flame retardant agent WM can pass the Chinese standard GB 8965 and GB 5455.American standard CA117 (furniture sofa), TB603 (mattress class), FMVSS302 (automotive upholster fabric), NFPA701, NFPA261-94, CS191-51, CPAI-84 (tent), CFR1610 (garment), CFR1633;European standards EN 531, EN 532, EN 533, EN 470, EN 469, EN-71 (toys);Australian AS 4824 and British standard BS 5852 (furniture sofa category), BS7176 (padded seat category), BS7177 (mattress category), EN-71 (toys category).
Polyester flame retardant finishing agent WM is also suitable for adding to water-based or solvent based coating adhesive, which can be used for durable and flame retardant coating finishing of fabric, giving fabric excellent flame retardant effect (in line with BS 5852 and other standards).

Instructions
Pretreatment:
It is best to do alkali reduction before flame retardant finishing to change the poor water absorption of polyester fiber and the disadvantage of low liquid, effectively remove impurities on the surface of the fabric, prevent the presence of other additives, and improve the flame retardant effect.
 Process recipe:      NaOH           20-30g/L
                            Anion penetrant   0.2 -0.5g/L
Treatment temperature and time: 95-100ºC, 20-60min
The treated fabric is thoroughly washed with water, and the residual alkali is removed and dried.
Flame retardant finishing:
The amount of flame retardant WM used is adjusted accordingly depending on the thickness of the fabric. (The recommended amount of WM for thick and dense fabrics is 6-8%, and the recommended amount for thin fabrics is 10-12%. The specific amount of WM is determined through experiments according to customer requirements and fabric varieties).
(1) The process formula: WM flame retardant    150-180 g/L
                           NaOH (5-10%) adjust the pH to 6-6.5
  1. Preparation of finishing solution:
First add a small amount of soft water, then add the required WM and fully dissolve. Adjust the pH of the solution to 6-6.5 with 5-10% NaOH solution, add 80% water, add other additives, stir, and dilute to the specified scale with water. The prepared working fluid should be used as soon as possible.
(3) The process flow:
two dipping and two rolling (rolling rate 60-70%) → drying (100ºC× 1-2 min) → baking (190-195ºC × 1-2 min) → water washing → drying

Precautions:
(1) The above process recipes and processes are appropriately adjusted according to specific processing conditions.
(2) If additional additives are added, the necessary small test should be carried out.
(3) The baking temperature must be strictly controlled, otherwise the washing durability and flame retardant effect are affected.
(4) For some special dyes, a small test of color change should be done before production.
(5) The fabric must be washed clean before flame retardant finishing, otherwise the flame retardant effect may be affected.

Packaging and storage:50 kg plastic drum, kept at room temperature, shelf life is one year.
